The quick route
- Have one of the two players host the journey.
- Choose the 2-player version of the world when starting.
- Let the second player join from the friends menu or with the current Join Code.
- Keep the same host for future sessions if you want to continue that save.
Is every part designed for a duo?
Big Walk changes some things in the world according to the host's player-count selection. The two-player option is official, so a duo is a supported way to play rather than an improvised challenge mode.
Can more friends join later?
The FAQ says to think of the selected world size as a minimum, not a maximum. The overall room limit is 12. If attendance varies, the developer specifically suggests choosing a lower number.
Two players is different from solo
The game has no single-player mode. A lone player can walk around a little but will not get far because the adventure is built around teamwork and communication.
