Do this first
The quick route
- Complete five early puzzles and finish the Red Tower to unlock the map room.
- Leave one player at the glass container marked 4166 / 1899.
- Use the folding map or GPS to follow the target toward 41.66 / 18.99.
- Search the rock faces at the target for a small camouflaged button.
- Hold the button while the waiting player opens the box and takes the reward.
Spoiler-light hints
If you found the number sign immediately after the opening area, you may not have the tool needed to solve it yet. Keep the two four-digit values in mind, clear five other puzzles, and finish the Red Tower before returning.
- Hint 1: the numbers describe a place
- Hint 2: a map and a coordinate-reading device can both help
- Hint 3: the button and reward box are far apart
How to read 4166 and 1899
Treat the values as 41.66 and 18.99. On the folding map, follow the grid near 41 and 18 toward the intersection southeast of the starting hub. The last two digits refine the position within that grid area rather than forming a keypad code.
The full two-player route
Keep one player at the numbered glass box. A second player carries the map or uses the GPS, travels to the coordinate intersection, and searches around the rocks for the camouflaged button. The second player must keep the button active while the first player collects the item from the opened box.
Why the box still will not open
Check that someone stayed at the original box, the remote player is holding the correct button, and the reward is collected before that player steps away. If your group cannot use the map yet, finish the Red Tower and return instead of searching for a keypad near the box.
