Do this first
The quick route
- Organize a group of 2 to 12 people outside matchmaking.
- Choose the person who will host and keep the save.
- Let platform friends join from the friends-game menu.
- Use the live session's Join Code for everyone else.
Why there is no random queue
The official FAQ describes Big Walk as a long-form cooperative game intended for the same group over multiple sessions. The developers say randomly assembling strangers does not fit that structure.
Can you play alone instead?
There is no single-player mode. One person can walk around for a short time but cannot make meaningful progress through an adventure designed for cooperation.
How an organized group connects
After the host starts, same-platform friends should see the game in their friends-game menu. Cross-platform players or people who are not platform friends can enter the unique Join Code generated for that session.
