Do this first

The quick route

  1. Confirm the host is still inside an active hosted session.
  2. Have the host reopen the joining screen and send the code shown now.
  3. Retype the code carefully instead of copying spaces or punctuation.
  4. Make sure every player has installed the latest game update.
  5. Restart the host session once to generate another code, then retry.

Why an older code can fail

The official FAQ says a short, unique Join Code is generated every time the host starts a session. That makes the live code the first thing to verify after a restart, crash, update, or host change.

Separate a code issue from a session issue

If a same-platform friend can see and enter the active game from the friends-game menu, but the code fails for others, regenerate and re-enter the code. If nobody can see or join the game, treat it as a host-session or connection problem instead of repeatedly typing the same code.

When to stop retrying

There is not yet an official public error-code directory for Big Walk. If a fresh code, matching game versions, and a full restart do not help, record each platform, the exact on-screen wording, and the time of the attempt before contacting Panic support. That evidence is more useful than an undocumented network tweak.
